The weather couldn’t have been much worse. It was cool, windy and rained and rained for the duration of the time Ken was set up. Yet, the support we received was incredible. Being able to sell out on such an inconvenient day says so much about those we serve.
Chef Ken won’t brag on himself so I’ll do it for him. His brisket is second to none and I’m nowhere near the only one who says it. The Mighty Rib’s Facebook page, an Arkansas food blog, recently asked: “Who makes the best BBQ in Arkansas?” While there were many different answers a good amount said Ken Dempsey. To me, this says a lot as Dempsey Barbecue doesn’t have a restaurant or even a food truck set up to regularly serve food. The quality and attention to detail leave a memorable experience a person is not soon to forget.
As always, our goal at Me & McGee Market is to continually improve on everything we do and have the highest quality experience, service and products possible. The future is bright on this partnership!
Here is a great Eggnog Recipe by Ken on Rock City Eats and a link to Dempsey Barbecue Facebook page.
I highly recommend contacting Dempsey Barbecue for any catering or private cheffing needs.
Me & McGee Market has embraced fall decorations with mums, pumpkins and cornstalk. See you soon!
