Granny’s Chorizo Chili Recipe
The cool weather and fall always remind me of granny’s chili!
I’m pretty sure she never uses a recipe, so I helped her put her latest batch to paper.
Everything on the list but Williams Chili seasoning can be picked up at Me & McGee.
Ingredients
1 lb Beef or Pork Chorizo
1 lb Ground Beef
½ lb Shoulder Bacon
1 lb Fresh Frozen Pintos
½ Onion Chopped
1 Jar Marias Spaghetti Sauce
½ Jar Robbi’s Salsa
2 Tablespoons KB2 Seasonings
1 Packets Williams Chili Seasoning
Directions
- Put pintos in a pot, fill until the water covers pintos. Add ½ pound chopped shoulder bacon. Bring to a boil, then simmer
- Add 2 tablespoons KB2 and ½ large onion diced into beans.
- Brown ground beef and chorizo in a large skillet.
- Add cooked meat to pintos with 1 packet of Williams Chili seasoning.
- Add 1 jar of Maria’s spaghetti sauce, ½ Robbi’s Salsa, and let simmer for 30 minutes.
