Kombucha is an ancient drink but new to Me & McGee Market. An oversimplification is that it is fermented tea which is naturally high in antioxidants, live probiotics, organic acids, and B vitamins. Kombucha is a fantastic substitute for sodas due to being low in calories, low in sugar and contains no preservatives.
Nathan Brown, the owner of Teaberry Kombucha Co., uses organic teas and brews with organic sugar. As a molecular biologist, he has crafted some incredible tasting Kombucha. The water used is filtered and the finished product is raw, unpasteurized and bottled by hand.
Teaberry Kombucha is made in Little Rock and flavors include Lemon, Strawberry, Ginger Peach and Mojo Mint. While there are claims of being a magical elixir, we drink the naturally carbonated refreshment because we enjoy it. Any health benefits are a bonus.
Me & McGee Market participated in the Arkansas Made, Arkansas Proud show at War Memorial April 14th along with many of our partners. The Farm at Barefoot Bend sampled forested pork brats next to Teaberry sampling Strawberry and Mojo Mint Kombuchas on tap. The pairing was a hit, to say the least.
The interesting ability of “kegging” Kombucha and using a kegerator to pour makes Teaberry an option popping up at events.
Since beginning to carry Teaberry Kombucha we have been told over and over it is the best Kombucha they have tasted. We are proud of what Nathan has accomplished and look forward to the future.
